Our mission

ZIA's mission is to represent and support the interests of the zircon, zirconia and zirconium value chains. The association will achieve this by educating and informing governments, industry bodies and other key stakeholders on the uses and benefits of zircon and its derivatives – including in the context of emerging regulatory challenges and industry-wide technical issues.

In addition, the ZIA shall:-

• Represent the collective interests of its members in international industry, trade, and other forums
• Consult, for purposes of its research or investigations, with governments and agencies and with other organisations and entities
• Collect and provide technical and other industry information (commercially-sensitive or proprietary information always excluded)
• Provide a forum for co-operation and exchange of ideas and information on scientific and technical matters related to the zircon value chain
