British Gypsum has extended its Glasroc H TILEBACKER range, meaning installers can now achieve a perfect ready-to-tile surface for both floors and walls.
Following the introduction of Glasroc H TILEBACKER in a 6mm format, the pre-primed board range is now available as a whole room solution.
“We launched Glasroc H TILEBACKER in 2011 and following great feedback from customers, we’ve decided to extend the range to feature a solution for floors too,” said Jonathan Cherry, Head of Product Management at British Gypsum.
The Glasroc H TILEBACKER range is specifically designed for wet areas such as kitchens and bathrooms, and was purposely created for easy use and installation on the job. As well as being supplied ready primed for direct tiling, Glasroc H TILEBACKER is a third lighter than cement boards and can be cut to size by simply scoring and snapping.
“The introduction of a 6mm format means installers can get a great finish on every surface within a wet area, and with less hassle. There’s now no need for multiple products on site for example, and the entire range uses the same fixings, with no specialist frameworks required. As well as being ideal for floors, our new 6mm solution can also be used to create stylish, contemporary curved walls,” added Jonathan.
Glasroc H is purpose designed for long lasting performance against mould and water damage, and is suitable for use with underfloor heating systems.
It is covered by British Gypsum’s SpecSure lifetime performance warranty, meaning the solution can be specified and used with confidence.
