Kilsaran International, an established manufacturer of paving and concrete products, has recently supplied Shelbourne flag paving, its premium external hard landscaping product with extensive green credentials, to the new headquarters of the Welsh Football Trust, in Newport.
The building, which encompasses both administrative offices and player facilities, was officially opened during an exclusive, invite only event last month.
Sponsors, funding bodies and Newport Council representatives were joined by a host of sporting stars including Welsh former professional footballer, Ian Rush, and the president of Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), Michel Platini.

The project was particularly exciting for Kilsaran, as the Shelbourne paving product replace the original hard landscaping specification.

The premium granite aggregate ground finish provides an excellent aesthetic effect, showcasing Kilsaran’s new light granite colour option. A stack bond lay minimised running joints across the 400mmx400mmx50mm paving slabs, creating a smooth, even surface.
As part of Kilsaran’s impressive eco range of hard landscaping, the product boasts 100% recycled water and a minimum of 25% non-primary aggregates. The flags also consist of up to 10% pre-consumer aggregate replacement, with at least 50% of the cement substituted with a carbon-neutral cement replacement.
