Voltis Home from Marshall-Tufflex makes an Ideal Home winners

Two visitors to the recent Ideal Home Exhibition have their ‘lucky roofs’ to thank for helping them scoop a domestic energy saving package that includes a Voltis Home system from leading energy management specialist Marshall-Tufflex.

The visitors entered the ‘Lucky Roof’ competition organised by British Gas, a partner of the exhibition’s Low Cost Living House, to win the domestic voltage optimisation system together with a British Gas Solar PV installation.

Competition entrants had simply to view their homes via Google Earth on an iPad to check they were suitable for a PV system to be entered into one of two weekly prize draws. The winners have now been pulled from the hat and will be hearing the good news from British Gas any time.

British Gas worked with leading supplier Rexel Renewable Energy to provide the solar PV systems and Voltis Home units, as Rexel operations manager Steve Callan explained: “British Gas had a substantial presence at the Ideal Home Exhibition to promote its range of energy saving solutions, including energy efficient boilers and smart radiators.

"We provided solar PV for the roof of the Low Cost Living House but they also wanted smaller energy saving products that would fit into small spaces, hence the inclusion of Voltis Home in the competition.”

Voltis Home is one of a number of energy saving systems stocked by Rexel Renewable Energy through its nationwide branch network. Voltis Home is a proven and reliable way to ‘optimise’ a property’s incoming power supply voltage (UK average 242Volts) to a lower level (ie 220Volts) allowing householders to benefit from lower electricity bills and appliances that last longer because they are not over supplied with electricity. Voltis Home performs at higher electrical loads than competitors (it is rated up to 60Amps, approximately 13kW).

All circuits in a typical house can be connected to it, there’s no need to isolate those for electric showers, immersion heaters, cookers etc, which makes installation much quicker and cheaper.
