Today begins a new era of sustainability and innovation. We present the new Silestone, a Silestone that is more beautiful and sustainable than ever thanks to the exclusive HybriQ+ technology.
Since its launch in 1990, Silestone has not stopped revolutionising the world. Its firm commitment to colour and its continuous innovation to improve the resistance and hygiene of kitchen surfaces have managed to change the way we relate to each other, turning this room into the heart of our homes. Now, after more than thirty years of changing the world from the kitchen, we are launching the first hybrid mineral surface made with 100% electrical energy from renewable sources, 99% reused water and a minimum of 20% recycled materials such as glass.
Thanks to HybriQ+ technology, the new Silestone increases the design possibilities and maintains all the properties in terms of resistance, hardness and hygiene included in our 25-year guarantee, as certified by DNV, a global independent body specialising in environmental and social assessment.
We want to take care of nature today so that future generations can enjoy it, which is why in the manufacture of Silestone we reuse 99% of the water thanks to a circular system of continuous filtration that allows us not to discharge a single drop into rivers or oceans. This saves up to 643 m3 of water per day, the equivalent of irrigating 8,000 hectares of crops per year.
We are committed to renewable energies as a driver of innovation. That is why all the electrical energy used in the Silestone manufacturing process comes from natural sources, thus minimising our carbon footprint.
We have chosen a mix of different premium minerals, specially selected with the final design in mind, and have achieved effects, hues and finishes never seen before, offering the hardness and performance of quartz surfaces, but with levels of crystalline silica typical of natural stone.
We believe in reusing waste and giving it a second life through the circular economy. That is why the new Silestone includes a minimum of 20% recycled materials such as glass in its composition.
This commitment, with you and with the planet, is embodied in "Changing the World from the Kitchen", an ambitious multimedia campaign launched in 21 countries developed jointly by Cosentino's marketing team, Wünderman-Thompson and Fight Films production company, and directed by Ida Cuéllar. In it, HybriQ+ technology becomes a "spark" capable of generating a common and shared movement of change, because no one can change the world alone, but together, we can do it from the kitchen. #ChangeFromTheKitchen #Silestone #HybriqTechnology
