Kingspan Insulated Panels has unveiled two new products in its leading polycarbonate daylight range to help architects achieve the right balance of natural light, thermal insulation and solar heat gain.
Kingspan Day-Lite Klick is a secret-fix, translucent polycarbonate wall light panel. Its simple, modular design offers a cost-effective wall light solution for projects where large expanses of polycarbonate cladding are required – allowing the creation of full-height feature walls, rainscreens or backlit displays. It transmits up to 59% of external light, with minimal degradation over time, with a U-value of 1.3W/m2K.
With an innovative joint detail, Kingspan Day-Lite Klick can be used as a standalone product or mounted into an aluminium frame for use with other building materials including insulated panel systems, brick and render.
Kingspan Day-Lite Vault is a translucent polycarbonate barrel vault rooflight designed to integrate with Kingspan’s flat or low-pitch Topdek roof deck. Each factory-assembled unit transmits 41% of external light, with the same minimal degradation as Day-Lite Klick, and achieves a leading U-value of 1.1W/m2K.
Both products are covered by Kingspan’s comprehensive 25 year structural, thermal performance and UV-resistance guarantees. This includes a guarantee of colour retention, so these products will not discolour over time as some others do.
