Blackpool is launching the UK’s first ever Resort Pass giving visitors unbridled fun and fantastic value for money.
The Blackpool Resort Pass – It’s just the ticket – is the first of its kind to be operated in the UK and gives you and your family the opportunity to enjoy many top attractions and transport around the resort at a fraction of the price.
It’s just the ticket was initially trialled in Blackpool last summer with almost 4,000 passes being sold in just nine weeks and it’s this success that has led to a new, bigger Resort Pass being unveiled.
There are now a number of options for visitors to ensure they get the most out of their holiday:
• The Original Resort Pass - Gives visitors access to SIX attractions – Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Nickelodeon Land, The Blackpool Tower Eye and 4D Experience, The Blackpool Tower Dungeon, SEA LIFE Blackpool and Madame Tussauds.
• Resort Pass+ - Offers access to NINE attractions – Includes those in the Original Resort Pass plus Blackpool Zoo, Sandcastle Waterpark and Blackpool Model Village.
• There is also the option to purchase The Original Resort Pass and enhance the Blackpool experience by adding extra attractions.
• All passes enable you to add on exclusive discounted 3-day and 7-day saver tickets for Blackpool Transport’s bus and tram services.
The Original Resort Pass is priced at £52.50 per person representing a saving of £40, while the Resort Pass+ is £77.50 representing a saving of more than £50 per person. Passes are valid for seven days and give users one visit to each attraction.
Natalie Wyatt, Managing Director of Marketing Blackpool, said: “We already know that the Blackpool Resort Pass is Just the Ticket but for 2013 it has just got better.
“It is our responsibility to help make everyone’s stay in Blackpool an enjoyable and value for money holiday and the Blackpool Resort Pass is the perfect tool for that.
“Blackpool is the only destination in the UK to offer such an incentive for its visitors. We recognise that people spend their hard earned money when they visit Blackpool so we want them to enjoy the best value for money possible. By teaming up with so many more attractions and transport services this year we believe we are doing just that.
“The Blackpool Resort Pass really is just the ticket!”
The launch of the Blackpool Resort Pass is part of wider destination marketing activity promoting Blackpool, supported by £100,000 from the Government’s Regional Growth Fund through VisitEngland’s Growing Tourism Locally project.
James Berresford, VisitEngland’s Chief Executive said: “The RGF money is a huge boost for tourism in England. This project enables our public and private sector partners to work together to stimulate tourism and ultimately grow jobs throughout the country with particular emphasis on some local areas. Blackpool is one of England’s most iconic holiday destinations, and the Blackpool Resort Pass is just one more great reason to visit.”
Ms Wyatt added: “This support from the RGF has made a huge difference and it is great to be a part of VIstitEngland’s Growing Tourism Locally project. It is also a great compliment to Blackpool that they want to help the resort grow as much as possible.”
