Sika-Trocal, leading supplier of single ply roof membranes, has launched a new range of Sika Green Roof systems.
Each system incorporates Sika-Trocal’s single ply waterproofing membranes, which are renowned for being cost effective and quick to install.
“Our green roof systems have long been used on significant projects around the UK, including the two new Dog’s Trusts centres,” comments Pete Hollingworth, National Sales Manager for Sika-Trocal. “This new product launch gives specifiers an additional element of choice.”
Sika-Trocal prides itself on the flexibility of choice that it offers to architects, and with the new green roof systems specifiers can opt for a Sika-Trocal single ply membrane and then choose which green roof supplier they want for the green element. This choice now includes the option to select green roof components that are fully Sika branded, which would have the added benefit of a Sika guarantee for those parts of the system.
As part of the product launch Sika-Trocal has worked closely with a selection of highly skilled green roof experts who have now become Sika Green Roof Contractors. These contractors are experienced in designing and installing green roof systems, allowing specifiers to benefit from a professional green roof installation.
The new green roof systems also have all the inherent advantages of working with Sika-Trocal, including single ply membranes that have been certified by the BBA with a life expectancy durability statement of ‘in excess of 30 years’ and installation by Sika-Trocal’s network of trained Licensed Contractors. The Trocal SGmA membrane also has full FLL approval meaning it has been independently tested to ensure it will resist penetration by even very aggressive roots.
