The UK’s leading designer and manufacturer of rainwater harvesting systems is delighted to announce its involvement with South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Construction of the new £35m cancer treatment centre at The James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough began in August and will, when complete, feature a Stormsaver rainwater harvesting system in a bid to create one of the greenest hospital buildings in the North East.
As well as the Stormsaver system, the building will also include a number of eco-technologies including heat pumps. It is aiming to achieve a BREEAM ‘excellent’ rating for its environmental standards.
Stormsaver was contracted by the SES Group.
The treatment centre is expected to be completed and fully functioning by winter 2011.
