MeadowMat is an exciting new product from the growers of
Q Lawns turf and Enviromat Sedum Matting.
34 species of native wild flowers and grasses are grown from seed onto a simple, lightweight layer of growing medium which is supported by a very fine net.
3 working days after placing an order you could take delivery of a fledgling wild flower meadow with strong plants and a well developed root system.
MeadowMat is happiest in a sunny spot on soil that is low in nutrients. Prepare the soil just as you would for turfing or seeding a lawn and water the mat well for a couple of weeks after installation MeadowMat needs very little maintenance. Just cut back the vegetation in late July, let the seeds drop back into the sward and then remove the hay. Mow again in autumn time if required, but always remove the cuttings.
There's a lot more information about MeadowMat - including the seedmix and lots of up to date photographs on our blog at http://www.meadowmat.blogspot.com
