Philips Lighting is announcing, in line with previous communications that the specification of the European Fortimo LED DLM module family has now been upgraded with improved LEDs inside.
The current Fortimo LED DLM Gen2 family has become the Philips Fortimo LED DLM Gen3 family.
This is due to the incorporation of the new LumiLeds LUXEON Rebel ES LED inside. The new LUXEON Rebel ES enables a leap forward in energy efficiency and offers up to 20% higher efficacies than the LUXEON Rebel, previously used in Fortimo LED DLM Gen2. This enables the DLM 1100Lm module to reach an efficacy of up to 100Lm/W.
All Philips Fortimo LED DLM Gen3 modules will be able to work on existing drivers, but the DLM 2000Lm Gen 3 will also work on the new Xitanium 50w drivers.
The new Fortimo LED DLM Gen 3 is now available to OEMs and can already be ordered from Philips. New specifications and product ordering data can be found on the Philips Fortimo website www.philips.com/fortimo
