Design led and intuitive, WiCal is Altecnic’s new range of wireless and standalone control systems for radiators.
The UK’s leading supplier of heating and plumbing products developed the range to offer homeowners enhanced yet simple control of individual room temperatures and to help reduce energy consumption.
The WiCal range includes a stand-alone chrono-thermostatic control head for thermostatic and convertible radiator valves, featuring a back-lit display and touch button operation the control can be programmed directly and displays temperature and comfort set back cycles.
For accurately managing temperatures in different rooms, the complete and compact WiCal wireless thermal control system offers seamless interconnectivity, the multi-zone system acts as a hub for managing control heads in up to eight different zones within a property by controlling the electronic actuators installed on the valves of the radiators.
The temperature is measured by a sensor located on the control head or via an optional sensor, depending on the set temperature parameters and the comfort or set back cycles, the controller sends a modulating opening or closing signal to the actuators and an on/off signal to the boiler via wireless signals.
The system’s fully programmable clock can be set to auto, holiday, eco or comfort and has easy to use control and a colour screen.
Altecnic’s trade sales director, Chris Ramster comments: “WiCal is the ultimate interconnected heat control system, its simple to use and has some major benefits for homeowners, from enhanced control of individual room temperature to reduced energy consumption, effectively managing heat output whilst optimising comfort. WiCal is more compact and advance compared to other similar systems available and is great option for using with both new and existing heating systems.
WiCal stand alone and wireless systems will be available from summer 2015 along with a number of accessories.
