Hanson Structherm sees its busiest ever first half of the year

External wall insulation manufacturer Hanson Structherm is experiencing its busiest-ever start to a year.

A number of significant business wins have led to the expansion of the production team in its West Yorkshire factory by 20 per cent in order to deliver the increased volumes of orders being placed for its Structural External Wall Insulation (SEWI) panels.

New projects secured include; supplying SEWI panels to a high-rise refurbishment project for West Dunbartonshire Council as well as supplying more than 4,200 square metres of SEWI for use in the refurbishment of 37 non-traditional Airey properties for Helena Partnerships in St Helens.

The SEWI system is a cost effective method of extending the life of defective properties while improving their external appearance and thermal efficiency. It also offers a major advantage over other remedial solutions as the system is based on a unique, two-way spanning, prefabricated panel that provides structural integrity to the building.

Hanson Structherm's marketing manager Yvonne Coldwell said: "We are only half way through the year and already we have achieved our forecasted budget for 2012 on our SEWI system, which reflects industry confidence in the benefits the products provide in external refurbishment."

"Our SEWI system is the only one on the market which has BBA* approval to provide an alternative option to demolition. It also greatly improves the thermal performance of the building, reducing both CO2 emissions and on-going energy costs for residents."
