In response to the huge interest and uptake of their eco interiors products, London company Ecora are now stocking a new range from renowned British suppliers Auro UK.
Given that traditional paints can contain harmful toxins that aggravate asthma and allergies, it is no wonder consumer demand for eco paints is on the rise.
While ordinary paints continue to release toxins many years after they have been applied, eco paints have minimal or zero emissions. Auro’s paints are also 100% natural and organic, with certified organically grown linseed oil being used as the main binding resin in the paint and a pure orange oil solvent used in Auro’s oil based wood finishes, with solvent-free water-based options also available.
Improvements in paint compounds now means eco paints also demonstrate the same or better performance as traditional paints. For example, Auro’s professional emulsion paint range has no fungicide or chemical preservative, yet has been granted EU class 1 certification for scrub resistance, making it an excellent choice for high traffic areas.
With a range including casein, chalk and lime paints, as well as their Airfresh Paint which neturalises bad odours and pollutants, Auro have the right paint for all types of interior and exterior. Finishes include matt, gloss and matt silk as well as paints for woods and metals including radiators.
Daniel Bloom, managing director at Ecora, says: “We have had an overwhelming response to our eco paints, which makes sense as over five million people in the UK now suffer from asthma, and people are also increasingly concerned about their family being in an environment safe from toxins and emissions. We are thrilled with the new partnership with Auro as we feel they have a truly exceptional range, and with over 100 shades of paint, and 32 for their wood resins, there is something for everyone.”
Bryan Roe, sales manager, at Auro also believes their range of eco paints are the best on the market for ecology. “We enjoy distributing this range of paints due to their very strong ecological benefits, low CO2 impact, transparency in listing ingredients, ease of use and quality,” he says. “We wanted to offer our customers paint and wood finishes that not only have a quality and ‘lifestyle’ feel, but are also not harmful to you or the planet, and we feel this is a great match for Ecora and their strong commitment to the environment.”
