Building envelope specialist, CA Group, has completed work on a major distribution centre for H&M.
The warehouse showcases the company’s latest innovations in cladding with the introduction of a graduated green facade which gives the warehouse its distinctive look.
Long-associated with alternative types of cladding system, the graduated colour scheme is incorporated into the facade through the use of CA Group’s innovative Twin-Therm built-up system, which delivers multiple sustainability benefits including the addition of continuous liner and insulation within the building, maximising airtightness and minimising the fire risk.
The Roxhill development forms part of the Rugby Gateway, a 120 acre site offering industrial, warehouse and distribution facilities, suitable for a variety of occupiers.
Ian Hooke, Construction Director for Roxhill, commented: “We’re always looking to offer the best solution to the architect to enable them to meet the aspirations of our clients. This development demonstrates that it is possible to incorporate all of the sustainability benefits of the built up system, at no cost to the aesthetics.”
Stuart Brown, Product Development Manager at CA Group, added: “The distribution centre for H&M showcases the capability of a built-up system which is a million miles away from the grey buildings of the past. We are extremely pleased with the end result and look forward to many more successful projects of this kind.”
Rugby Gateway provides direct access to the national motorway network and with the M1 motorway less than three miles away and Rugby town centre less than two miles away, it offers significant employment potential for new and expanding businesses.
Phase two of the project is now underway.
