The Em-Vent is an automatic smoke vent rooflight that opens to 160° in less than 60 seconds. So the intense heat of a fire is kept in check and the potentially fatal smoke buildup doesn’t happen. Ideal for stairwells and corridors, the Em-Vent dramatically increases the odds of escape and survival. It comes in 57 standard sizes and can be used as escape and access hatches onto flat roofs. Fitted in combination with the Em-Dome skylight, you can flood interiors with natural light, for healthier, lower cost, more sustainable working conditions.
The Es-Vent is designed for larger industrial and manufacturing buildings. Also available in 80 sizes, Es-Vents can be specified standalone or networked. Within 60 seconds, the single leaf opens 160° and the double leaf to 90° - clearing the air fast.
All smoke vents and rooflights are fully compatible with building management systems, and options include fireman’s priority switches, smoke and heat detectors and manual control points.
The aluminium frames can be polyester powdered to any standard RAL colour, and as well as a solid insulated cover, your Em-Vent can feature single, double or triple polycarbonate in clear, opal, diffused, bronze or HeatReflect. All with an impact strength 250 times greater than glass and AA fire-rated to BS476 Part 3.
