IBI Group’s design for a major £27 million residential development in Salford has achieved outline planning permission in less than nine months.
The unanimous vote from the planning committee complimented the Outwood Wharf scheme’s bold design and the prospect for it to become a catalyst for a new and thriving local community.
The new build development comprises 246 residential apartments made up of 1, 2 and 3 bedroom properties in the form of six, eight and 18 storey blocks including 3-storey townhouses. An enclosed central courtyard carefully conceals underground resident’s car parking.
“IBI Group’s creative design team worked tirelessly to ensure proposals for this significant Salford development delivered a high quality, value added solution,” said Daniel Barker, Director of Peterloo Estates. The design of Outwood Wharf projects a contemporary overall finish whilst being conscious of its locality.”
IBI’s Neil Lewin added: “It was thoroughly rewarding to be involved in this prestigious scheme. We’re delighted to have gained the approval so quickly, particularly given the size of development, and receiving such positive comments from the Planning Committee was particularly pleasing.”
