The number of homeless families housed by councils in bed and breakfast temporary accommodation has risen by 44%, according to an analysis of official figures by the National Housing Federation. The rise comes after ministers warned 20 councils not to house families in B&Bs for any longer than a six week period. Read more on today's blog.
