Worcester, Bosch Group honours the royal birth by creating a one-off baby blue boiler, which will be raffled to raise money for children’s charity, Acorns.
Rolling out the red carpet on the factory floor, the Worcester, Bosch Group production line has produced a unique baby blue version of its own ‘baby’ boiler, the Greenstar CDi Compact – the manufacturer’s smallest ever condensing combi boiler – to celebrate the new addition to the royal family.
Sue Pennington, consumer brand manager at Worcester, Bosch Group, said: “As a British heating manufacturer with a Royal Warrant, we couldn’t let such a momentous occasion pass us by. This year, we too welcomed a mini addition to the Worcester Greenstar family and so we thought it would be a great way for us to pay tribute to the future monarch by creating a blue version of our own baby boiler.
“Today will be a memorable day in British history and at Worcester we are proud to do something special to celebrate.”
Worcester, Bosch Group’s baby boy-ler will now be raffled to raise money for a local Worcester charity which provides crucial care and support for life-limited children, Acorns Children’s Hospice. Fans of the royals who want to get their hands on the limited edition CDi Compact can simply visit the ‘baby boy-ler’ Just Giving page, www.justgiving.com/worcester-bosch , and donate £5.00 to Acorns before Tuesday 6th August at 6pm. After 6th August, a winner will be chosen at random from all the people who donated.
Rachel Cranny, Corporate Fundraising Officer at Acorns Children’s Hospice, said: “Worcester Bosch Group is a long term supporter of Acorns and their continued enthusiasm for developing new and creative ways to support us, such as this one-off boiler being up for grabs, is fantastic.
“We rely on fundraising for the majority of the £8m plus needed every year to run our vital services providing care to local life limited children and their families. The commitment of organisations like this is vital to ensure we can continue our work. I’d like to say a big thank you on behalf of everyone at Acorns.”
Worcester, Bosch Group is the leading manufacturer of heating and hot water technologies with more than 50 years of expertise. No stranger to royal engagements, Worcester has been awarded the Royal Warrant in recognition of supplying quality goods to Her Majesty, the Queen and earlier this year, Richard Soper, CEO at Worcester, Bosch Group was presented with his CBE for his services to the heating and renewable technology industries.
The new gas-fired Greenstar CDi Compact is one of the smallest boilers on the market; combining reduced dimensions with high performance, outstanding efficiency, and low emissions, so homeowners don’t have to compromise on any aspect.
