Intastop Ltd – the leading manufacturer of door and wall protection products - will showcase a wide range of anti-ligature solutions at the 'Design in Mental Health' exhibition, which is being held at the National Motor Museum, Birmingham, May 12-14 2014.
Intastop’s ever increasing portfolio of anti-ligature products has been developed in response to the National Confidential Enquiry Into Suicide Report, which made several recommendations including the coverage or removal of all likely ligature points.
The Intastop Door Top Alarm proved very popular at last year’s exhibition and will once again take pride of place on the stand. The alarm addresses Priority 1 Suicide prevention issues and provides an effective solution to this costly and time consuming problem. Designed specifically for retrofit and new build mental health establishments, the alarm triggers staff alerts via a wide choice of options.
In addition to the show-stopping Door Top Alarm, Intastop will also be featuring its highly regarded Double Swing Hinge Package – the top performing mechanism which enables doors to open quickly and easily in the opposite direction when emergencies arise.
The exhibition will also see the launch of a new and improved anti-ligature tip for the company’s hugely successful Continuous Geared Hinge, plus the latest Removable Doorstop and the Intastop Anti-Ligature Handrail. Designed to be fixed without leaving a gap behind the rail, the product features a continuous full length bracket which greatly reduces any potential ligature risk.
Intastop’s Marketing Director, Sarah Barsby, is greatly looking forward to this year’s exhibition. "With approximately a quarter of people in Britain experiencing some form of mental health problem it is imperative that issues surrounding the ongoing diagnosis, care, treatment and safety of these individuals is addressed in all areas of the sector.
"Attending the 'Design in Mental Health' exhibition allows us to not only promote our products to the relevant market but also ascertain other ongoing issues which drive our new product development programme."
