Leading
UK manufacturer Welsh Slate will exhibit its full range of architectural and
roofing products at this year's The Natural Stone Show at ExCeL London from
April 30th to May 2nd.
Welsh Slate (stand
F30) is exhibiting at the show, which this year celebrates its 25th anniversary
as the only UK exhibition and conference dedicated to natural stone, under its
new Breedon Group umbrella.
All-natural Welsh
Slate lends itself to a peerless range of contemporary interior and exterior
design applications.
Available in a wide
range of colours and finishes, it is particularly well known for roofing in
heritage, historic and high-end new-build projects.
But its aesthetic
qualities for a myriad of other applications are increasingly being recognised
by designers, developers and clients, with it recently featuring, for example,
externally as cladding and roofing, and internally as a fireplace, at the ground-breaking
new Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow.
Other
design applications for Welsh Slate, which is as durable as it is beautiful due
to its 500 million year-old pedigree, include flooring, walling, paving,
landscaping, sawn scants, and cills and copings, and worktops and counters.
Material can be purchased either finished or as raw scant.
The natural slate is
available in Heather Blue, Heather Red, Heather Grey and Dark Blue Grey colours
and is unfading and non-porous. It has a useful life of well over 100 years and
comes with a 100-year warranty for the roofing products.
Now celebrating its
25th anniversary, the show has established a core visitor profile which will be
enhanced by its co-location with Hard Surfaces, the exhibition that showcases
the latest products and trends in the fast-moving field of surface design, widening
the visitor profile and offering further opportunity to promote the use of
natural stone.
