Schluter®-DITRA-PS is the latest innovation within the market leading Schluter®-DITRA family of products, whose game-changing uncoupling mat allows for independent movement between the floor covering and substrate, preventing cracks. DITRA-PS joins the Peel & Stick family of products, which makes installations simple, clean and quick.
Simple to install, DITRA-PS has a pressure sensitive release film on the back of the membrane. The membrane can be repositioned as often as required provided no pressure has been applied, to ensure the product is perfectly placed. Once pressure has been applied, the mat is adhered to the substrate and is immediately ready for tiling.
The DITRA-PS membrane is the ideal answer to dealing with troublesome substrates such as P5 green chipboard, which is not suitable for use with traditional tile adhesive and does not offer the same level of protection against tiles cracking, debonding or moisture. DITRA Peel & Stick allows installers to easily stick down the membrane onto even the trickiest of substrates, with no tile adhesive required and no mess involved.
Schluter®-DITRA-PS has already been embraced by not just specialist tilers, but bathroom fitters and general builders due to the speed it can be installed and because of the way it eliminates the need for multiple different skilled tradespeople. The product builds on the success of the original DITRA uncoupling mat, and is just as reliable in terms of the uncoupling, load transfer and vapour pressure equalisation properties.
The truly comprehensive Schluter®-DITRA range also encompasses DITRA-HEAT and DITRA-HEAT-DUO, both of which enable the installation of electric heating cables for rapid and efficient surface heating thanks to the their advance design. DITRA-HEAT is not just an ideal substrate for ceramic tiles and natural stone, but also an innovative system for warming wall areas, while heat output can be controlled via Alexa, as well as the manufacturer’s App, or conventional controls. The membrane is available in mats or rolls.
