Leviat has officially opened its new multi-million pound manufacturing facility at The Airfields in Deeside, North Wales, continuing the company’s long history of investing in manufacturing technology and engineering excellence.
The 104,000 sq ft facility, Leviat's first purpose-built manufacturing site in Wales, becomes the sole production site for the full Helifix range and manufactures Ancon products destined primarily for the high-rise residential sector. It also serves as the UK despatch hub for Halfen products, following the transfer of warehousing operations from Dunstable.
The new site continues Leviat's long history of investing in manufacturing technology, engineering excellence and product innovation, building on recent developments such as new flexible wall tie manufacturing technology, and bringing that expertise directly into production for customers.
By bringing manufacturing, warehousing and distribution together on a single site, the new facility is designed to improve efficiency, streamline logistics and strengthen supply chain resilience for customers across Helifix, Ancon and Halfen. This is helping the business meet delivery deadlines more consistently as demand grows.
The Airfields site builds on more than 40 years of manufacturing heritage in North Wales, with roots tracing back to Leviat's first regional factory in Flint in 1984, and creates scope for further investment in automation and technology as the business rebalances manufacturing and distribution activity across its wider UK operations.

Leviat says the Deeside facility marks the start of the next phase of its UK manufacturing strategy, with plans to continue expanding capacity and capability at the site in the years ahead.
