Reynaers Aluminium has introduced the new HiFinity Magnetic Slider, an innovative sliding door solution that combines the refined aesthetics of HiFinity with magnetic levitation technology to make large-format glazing easier to operate.
As glazed openings become increasingly expansive, the weight of the glass can present a practical challenge. The HiFinity Magnetic Slider addresses this by using powerful magnets that glide above a precision steel rail, enabling vents weighing up to 600kg to be moved manually.
The technology reduces operating forces by 30–50%, delivering smooth and effortless movement while providing an alternative to motorised operation. This makes it possible to specify substantial triple-glazed vents without compromising ease of everyday use.
The Magnetic Slider has been designed for triple-glass configurations with standard depth and provides a maintenance-free, durable and futureproof solution. Importantly for refurbishment and upgrading projects, the new hardware can also be retrofitted to existing HiFinity triple-glazed configurations by simply replacing the rail and wheels.
The technology complements the distinctive design characteristics of HiFinity, including its ultra-slim 35mm sightlines and expansive glass surfaces. The system’s Open Corner option can further enhance uninterrupted views and create seamless connections between internal and external spaces, supporting ambitious contemporary architectural designs.
