Leading international façade specialist, Permasteelisa Group, has been appointed to lead the façade refurbishment at 60 Queen Victoria Street.
The team, working alongside Mace Construct, will remove the original façade from the nine-storey building and refurbish and reinstall it, alongside the design, manufacture and installation of some new panels.
This large-scale refurbishment contract consists of pre-patinated bronze panels, fixed glazing units, stick system, angled unitised panels with sheetwork, terrace curtain wall, soffits, windows, doors and other remedial works.
The retrofit scheme will retain the architectural spirit of the original building while bringing the development up to modern standards, boosting wellness and sustainability. The project will target BREEAM Outstanding and NABERS 4.5*.

60 Queen Victoria Street was built in the late 1990s and designed by Peter Foggo. The building is known for its striking façade with its pre-patinated bronze and brise soleil screens. The refurbishment will feature a reworked ground floor with an enlarged reception area, a new co-working hub and a dedicated cycle entrance. Floorplates are also being reconfigured to create 15,000 sqft of flexible space, the opportunity for outside terraces on each floor, and a new timber rooftop pavilion.
