Linear Living has received planning approval for its 24-storey residential scheme on Lord Street in Manchester's Green Quarter.
The development will comprise 251 new homes which includes 82 one-beds and 165 two-bed apartments, as well as 4 townhouses.
Seven homes are also adaptable for residents with additional needs, such as wheelchair-user apartments.
Approved plans will look to regenerate the long-vacant site, bounded by Cheetham Hill Road, Lord Street and Fernie Street.

The site previously held retail and commercial units fronting Cheetham Hill Road, which have been partially demolished.
Public consultation on the proposals began in December 2025, with a second consultation event held in February 2026. Plans were submitted in March 2026, with approval secured earlier this week.
Linear Living anticipates work commencing on site before the end of the year, with completion targeted for early 2029.
The project team consists of contractor Linear Design and Construct; AEW Architects; planning consultants, Enabl; project management firm, Rihbell; and Peak Properties, which advised on the acquisition.
The land sits adjacent to the Strangeways and Cambridge Strategic Regeneration Framework area, a joint initiative by Manchester and Salford councils aiming to deliver long-term regeneration.
Stephen Holmes, CEO of Linear Living, said: "This approval marks a major step for Linear Living, as we build on our success across Greater Manchester and establish a strong presence in the city centre.
"The Green Quarter is one of the most vibrant and dynamic parts of Manchester, and the ideal location for a residential scheme of this scale and calibre. Its position next to Manchester Victoria offers easy access across the city and beyond, while a thriving mix of leisure and hospitality options sit on the doorstep of the project.
"One Lord Street is set to be an exceptional residential scheme that will help shape the future of the Green Quarter for generations to come."
