Savills, acting on behalf of Landsec, has secured planning permission for a significant development at Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth.
The proposals form part of a wider £45 million investment and will bring a new life to the waterfront area.
Plans include a range of new food and beverage units alongside new terraces, public realm improvements, improved multi-level connectivity to support accessibility, and the modernisation of existing buildings. Works are expected to commence in early 2027.
As Gunwharf Quays celebrates its 25-year anniversary this year, having established itself as a key part of Portsmouth’s identity, this next phase of development will strengthen the site’s waterfront presence and enhance the overall visitor experience.
The application was also supported by Savills Heritage and Townscape team who advised on the proposals within the historic waterfront setting.
