Savills has been appointed by Spitfire Homes to bring Viridian, a new and exclusive collection of homes in highly sought after Edgbaston, to market.
Marking Spitfire’s return to Edgbaston, Viridian follows the outstanding success of Beaufort, the award winning scheme delivered nearby, which launched off plan in 2021, completing in May 2023.
Beaufort’s rapid sales trajectory underscored the strength of demand for well designed new homes in this prestigious area of Birmingham.
Viridian will build on that legacy, offering a carefully considered mix of properties within the Spitfire Homes Bespoke Collection – known for distinctive design, quality specification and meticulous attention to detail.

While full details of the scheme will be revealed later this year, Viridian is set to include an exclusive selection of just four four-bedroom townhouses alongside a limited number of one- and two-bedroom apartments and three three-bedroom penthouses, representing a rare opportunity to secure a contemporary home in one of Birmingham’s most desirable postcodes.
Situated in one of the city’s most affluent and sought after locations, Viridian benefits from an outstanding position, with the vibrant Harborne High Street only a short walk away, providing a wealth of independent shops, cafés and restaurants.
Its location next to the highly regarded Blue Coat School reflects the area’s strong family appeal, while proximity to University Station, the University of Birmingham and Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham makes it particularly well suited to professionals, academics and medical staff looking to live close to work without compromising on lifestyle.
Viridian is in an area where supply remains extremely limited.
Joe Shorney, Head of Residential Development Sales at Savills in the Midlands, who is marketing the scheme, says: “Spitfire’s reputation for elevating residential design is exceptionally strong, and Viridian represents a rare opportunity to buy a new home in one of Birmingham’s most desirable districts. Demand for high quality homes in this location remains exceptionally strong and following the success of Beaufort, we know there is huge appetite for considered, design led schemes in this part of the city. We are thrilled to be supporting Spitfire as they bring this exciting new chapter to Edgbaston.”
The homes are expected to appeal to a range of purchasers, including working professionals, families and downsizers. A limited selection of properties will also be available exclusively to first time buyers as part of the First Homes Scheme offering an accessible entry point onto the property ladder without compromising on design.
Matt Vincent, Operations Director at Spitfire Homes, adds: “We are delighted to be returning to Edgbaston with Viridian. This is a location synonymous with quality, character and lifestyle, and our Bespoke Collection has been designed to reflect and enhance that. Working with Savills once again allows us to draw on their expertise in placing premium homes into the market with the right strategic approach.”
