Marshalls plc, a leading UK supplier of hard landscaping, building and roofing products, has become a Silver Sponsoring Partner of the charity Building Heroes from March 2026.
Supporting programmes that help members of the Armed Forces community move into civilian roles across construction and the built environment.
The collaboration links industry demand for trained workers with structured pathways for service leavers, veterans, reservists and military families entering employment after service.
Building Heroes delivers short, intensive training with high-quality training provider partners and works with industry sponsors and supporters to provide employer engagement designed to translate military experience into recognised qualifications and job opportunities across construction, infrastructure and property maintenance.

For Marshalls, the partnership expands its social impact and charity work to include experienced individuals transitioning from military service, alongside its existing early careers initiatives, such as partnerships with colleges and training providers. The programme will also involve some localised fundraising activities and, as the partnership grows, potential for volunteering, mentoring and engagement opportunities for employees.
Chris Charles, CEO, Building Heroes Education Foundation, said: “Every person leaving the military deserves confidence about what comes next. Marshalls’ decision to partner with Building Heroes shows a shared belief that potential should never be lost simply because someone is changing career. Their support helps us give people direction, skills and opportunity at a pivotal moment in life, changing futures for individuals, families and communities. We are grateful for their support and look forward to working together to make a real difference over the coming year.”
Recent Building Heroes graduates include former military engineers, logisticians and technicians who have progressed into roles such as site supervisors, tradespeople and property maintenance operatives following training.
By working together, Marshalls and Building Heroes will deliver impact on multiple levels:
For Building Heroes, the sponsorship helps sustain programme delivery across its national network. For Marshalls, it provides a structured way to support the Armed Forces community while strengthening future workforce capability.
