Pulse Fibre’s Head of Development, Nathan Davis, will be taking to the stage at this year’s Smart Buildings Show to highlight the vital role fibre broadband plays in driving the evolution of smart buildings and future-proofing assets.
Speaking on Wednesday 15th October at 10.45am in the IT & Digital Infrastructure theatre, Nathan will explore fibre connectivity and how developers, landlords, and the wider built environment can unlock new opportunities through solutions that enhance scalability, asset value and user experience.

His session, “Fibre Broadband: Powering Smart Buildings”, will walk the audience through the fibre broadband evolution, from early adoption of smart devices to today’s highly connected, sustainable homes, and looking ahead to fully autonomous, net-zero cities supported by next-generation fibre networks.
Nathan will also discuss the challenges and opportunities that developers face, including navigating regulatory hurdles, aligning ambition with commercial realities, and ensuring seamless communication with stakeholders. With fibre technologies such as XGS-PON setting a new benchmark for speed, capacity, and reliability, Nathan will demonstrate how the right digital infrastructure can underpin smarter, greener and more connected buildings.
Commenting ahead of the event, Nathan said: “Change is inevitable, and those who adapt will thrive. Fibre broadband is no longer a luxury; it’s the backbone of future-ready smart buildings. By combining robust digital infrastructure with forward-looking strategies, we can create buildings that deliver real value, sustainability, and exceptional experiences for everyone who uses them.”
The Smart Buildings Show, held at ExCeL London on 15th–16th October, brings together industry leaders to discuss the latest innovations in building technology, from automation and energy management to digital infrastructure and smart sustainability.
Nathan’s presentation promises to be an insightful session for developers, building owners, and decision makers who want to understand how to future-proof their assets and embrace the full potential of fibre-powered smart buildings.
