Crown Paints has introduced the Colour Edit, a new collection purposefully curated to help architects and designers make more informed decisions when specifying colour schemes for a range of commercial and residential projects.

Developed by Crown’s team of colour experts, the Colour Edit features 160 versatile shades including 18 new bespoke shades selected using advanced trend forecasting and 3D colour mapping.

Crown has organised the shades into colour families to create a balanced mix of tones from warm neutrals to bold, saturated hues catering to a variety of design specifications.

Tried and tested across numerous environments to confirm its adaptability and performance, the Colour Edit has already proven its versatility in projects, notably used to transform a luxury penthouse apartment in Westminster’s Chimes building in partnership with interior designer Jo Love

Available across the majority of Crown’s tintable product range, this collection serves as a comprehensive toolkit for professionals creating cohesive designs in any setting.

Beyond its practicality, the Colour Edit is rooted in colour psychology – tapping into how colour can influence users of a space physically, mentally, and emotionally – offering shades that foster comfort and safety, as well as vibrant tones that energise and inspire.

Kathryn Lloyd, colour specialist at Crown Paints said: “At Crown, we recognise the endless possibilities of colour, but we also know the complexities involved in making the right choice.

“The collection is intended to be a first port of call for architects and designers providing a reliable resource that simplifies the colour decision process. All of this will also be supported by our extensive colour mapping and consulting services, to help designers colour scheme with confidence.”

Crown’s Colour Edit cards, featuring PurePaint swatches, are available for order on the website, along with paint samples to guide further exploration of the new collection.
