Timber Development UK are delighted to announce a new 2025 series of designTimber lunchtime webinars featuring eye-catching, sustainable projects built using wood.
Offering a deep dive into the best of recent timber architecture and construction, these talks will provide a valuable opportunity to learn directly from the leading architects, engineers and specialist contractors behind a wide variety of award-winning timber buildings.
The webinars, which provide continuing professional development (CPD) for designers, will be held every second Wednesday of the month, from 1:00 – 2:00 pm.
Featuring schools, workplaces, homes and leisure spaces, the talks will explore a range of timber topics from innovations in modular building systems and use of homegrown timber, to new approaches to urban industrial design using engineered timber.
The series will present key recent timber buildings including dRMM’s WorkStack, Bond Bryan’s NMITE Skylon Campus, Bindloss Dawes’ Old School House and Koto Design & Hiraeth Architecture’s Koto House with more to be announced.
The designTimber talks are key to TDUK’s mission educate, inform and inspire today’s architects, engineers, and all other built environment specialists to build better, and lower-carbon, using intelligent timber design. We want this knowledge to be open for all, which is why the webinars are free to attend (attendees just need to login or create a free account).
This webinar series is programmed by TDUK, main organizer of the Wood Awards along with the American Hardwood Export Council and Carpenters’ Company.
