Mitsubishi Electric will host a CIBSE Journal webinar on Wednesday 24th April 2024 at 1pm to discuss the legislation and initiatives driving changes in the way we will need to heat, cool and ventilate large commercial buildings to reach net zero emissions in the UK.
With 80% of the buildings we will be using in 2050 already built, decarbonising the built environment is not just about designing new and greener buildings, but rather adopting innovative solutions to modernise and decarbonise the existing building stock.
In particular, heat pumps are seen as a key technology to support the UK in its transition to a low carbon future.
Both public and private sector building owners and tenants have a rising interest in addressing gas emissions from the built environment. From hospitals and schools to large commercial premises, each client has specific technical needs. During the webinar, experts from Mitsubishi Electric – including Richard Venga, Head of Engineered Solutions – will consider the solutions offered by recent technological developments and innovations from the heat pump manufacturer.
The speakers will also explain how these innovative technologies adapt to the evolving demands of the commercial sector, help each client meet its green objectives, and can influence the path towards decarbonisation.
Following the presentation, Mitsubishi Electric will discuss real world applications of commercial heat pump technology and analyse a case study where heat pump systems have been successfully applied.
