A new series of dates have been announced for the Timber Technology Engineering Design (TimberTED) course.
The courses are run by the New Model Institute for Technology and Engineering (NMITE) and developed in partnership with Timber Development UK (TDUK) and Edinburgh Napier University. They are also endorsed by the CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building) and CIAT (Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists)
The TimberTED courses are the only UK-equivalent professional course that directly addresses timber in construction on this scale.
Students will learn how to:
- Become an enhanced built professional, able to produce net zero buildings utilising sustainable biogenic materials like timber
- Develop practical skills with NMITE’s unique applied learning model – all our timber courses incorporate NMITE’s unique ‘learning by doing’ approach
- Work on real workplace challenges – each course encourages professional and genuinely creative solutions
- Enjoy online and hybrid learning models, combining remote and residential in-person learning with access to a virtual learning environment

The newly released dates are:
- Timber Sustainability – 15 April
- Timber Materials – 6 May
- Timber Design 1 – 10 June.
