Taking the hassle out of sustainable urban stormwater management

Latest News Mon, Mar 4, 2024 11:16 AM

With Schedule 3 of the 2010 Water and Environment Act on the horizon and an increased focus on the biodiversity net gain of projects, getting surface water management right in urban projects is more important than ever.

However, it is just one of several competing priorities for contractors and developers – many of whom are not drainage specialists. This is where Wavin’s StormForce provides an invaluable service when it comes to rainwater management.

It is an end-to-end surface water infrastructure solution that provides guidance and installation of sustainable drainage systems (SuDS). From consultation and design through to manufacture, supply, installation and warranty, StormForce is delivered by trained Wavin experts in soakaway and attenuation tank planning and construction. Ultimately, by using this bespoke service, specifiers can ensure project deadlines are met and regulatory compliance adhered to, increasing efficiencies and minimising risk – especially on sites where space and time are tight.

StormForce also uses the latest generation of products, such as Wavin’s AquaCell NG attenuation tanks. These systems benefit from push-fit connectivity, and while continuing to boast the same volume capacity as previous generations, feature an innovative stackable design that only takes up a quarter of the space when being stored on site. This means it works perfectly in more compact and urban environments, and because it is made from 100% recycled and recyclable plastic, developers can be confident in its sustainability credentials too.

By taking advantage of StormForce and using the latest attenuation technology, those tasked with delivering surface water management in urban areas can rest assured their build will be fit-for-purpose and up to code.
