Tilbury Douglas has been appointed to lead the construction of a new facility for Warringtonfire.
The global fire testing, inspection and certification company is set to open the new base at Birchwood Park, which will create 50 jobs and triple its testing capacity to keep up with the rising demand for its resources.

The project will include the construction of eight fire resistance testing furnaces, alongside larger preparation areas to improve workflow, as well as higher quality and more accessible customer reception and viewing areas.
Phil Shaw, Divisional Director for the North West at Tilbury Douglas, said: “We are proud to be leading the construction of this project, as it signifies a major investment in the region and will significantly improve Warringtonfire’s testing offering for its customers.”
In line with the Warringtonfire’s sustainability goals, the base will implement measures to reduce energy use and maintain air quality and potential environmental impacts, including built-in recycling systems, energy-efficient fans and smoke and odour capture and treatment.
