Specialist distributor of air conditioning, heat pumps and climate control solutions, Logicool has announced that it is now stocking the award-winning range of Ecodan air source heat pumps.
“Logicool has always been technically-biased and customer-focused specialists and as the heat pump market develops in the UK, we see a real opportunity to deliver the highest levels of customer service and project support,” explains Karl Richardson, owner and managing director of the innovative distributor.
Last October, the company moved into a new £2m headquarter and warehouse complex in Swadlincote, Derbyshire, and the 16,000ft2 facility offers plenty of space to develop Logicool’s plans to support heat pump installers and designers.
Formed in 2008, this is the third move for Logicool which has gained an enviable reputation as a specialist distributor of Mitsubishi Electric, Hitachi, Panasonic and ancillary air conditioning products.
“Karl and his team have developed an unrivalled approach to all project enquiries, and promise a solution for every application, which completely matches our approach,” adds Russell Dean, Director of Residential Heating at Mitsubishi Electric.
“We know that the heat pump market is set to grow ten-fold over the next five years, which will require more support for both domestic and commercial installers, and this move by Logicool will help to accelerate this trend.”
Logicool’s new purpose-designed facility, which the company moved into in October 2022, makes use of the renewable Ecodan heat pump system for its heating. The building is designed to consume less than 4kW of electricity per hour.
“We strongly believe that we are now entering the age of the heat pump and, in addition to stocking the products that will help deliver renewable heating now, we also realise that training existing heating engineers on how to apply heat pumps is important,” adds Karl Richardson.
“That’s why we’re now looking at redesigning our previous offices to create a workshop and training facility which will help grow the number of installers.”
