The Construction Leadership Council (CLC) will be submitting evidence in response to the recently published Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities consultations on Building Safety.
The calls for evidence relate to:

They give industry a formal opportunity to respond to policy proposals linked to the Building Safety Act 2022, which received Royal Assent earlier this year. The Act will see fundamental changes in the way in which residential buildings will be designed, built, managed and regulated.
The call for evidence takes in a wide range of issues including building control procedures, the golden thread and the management of fire and structural safety during occupation.
A draft CLC response will be circulated to members of the CLC Task Force for comments by mid-September with a final submission to be made before the consultation deadline of 12 October.
