Galliford Try’s Building North West business has been appointed by the Department for Education to deliver the King’s Leadership Academy in Bolton.
The new school, to be built in the Great Lever area of the town, will accommodate 900 students aged 11-16 in a single two-storey school building.
Alongside the educational facilities new hard play areas, two new sports pitches and informal soft and hard landscaped areas will be created.
The school will be run by the Great Schools Trust, a multi-academy trust that already has five other existing schools in the North West. The Bolton School will move from its temporary accommodation at the former Haywood Grammar School site.
