As the largest UK trade association within the structural timber sector, the Structural Timber Association (STA) is proud to once again be an Industry Partner with this year’s Offsite Expo, taking place on the 20th and 21st September at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
Offsite Expo brings together those in the industry that are driving change in the construction sector, playing host to leading offsite manufacturers and suppliers over a two-day event.
The STA will be exhibiting on stand F10 to promote its mission to enhance the quality of construction across the industry through technical guidance and research, underpinned by a members’ quality standard assessment – STA Assure. Additionally, the association will be explaining how it supports members and the wider construction industry to encourage the increased use of structural timber. The team will also be there to discuss how structural timber systems and offsite construction combined can support carbon neutral goals.
The Offsite Expo is also host to the Offsite Awards, which take place in the same venue on the 20th September from 5.30pm; with the STA’s Andrew Orriss again on the judging panel. Additionally, the STA are also sponsoring the ‘Best Use of Timber Technology Award’ for this year’s event. The awards celebrate companies and projects that are at the forefront of the industry in terms of innovation and expertise. Tickets for the awards event are still available to buy here.
Andrew Orriss, from the STA, said: “I’m very pleased to be asked back on the judging panel for the 2022 Offsite Awards. Ensuring that projects, products and teams receive the appropriate recognition for innovation and best practice, is incredibly important in driving the industry forward. There have been many strong entries into the competition this year, so there will be plenty to celebrate and reward on the 20th September.”
Chief Executive of the STA, Andrew Carpenter, will also be at the Offsite Expo, chairing two CPD Masterclasses. The first focusses on offsite technology with Andrew chairing the structural timber session and the second one focuses on structural timer and the housing sector. The sessions take place on the 21st September, exploring everything you need to know about the application of structural timber in the modern construction sector, followed by a Q&A session.
