During this year’s celebrated Clerkenwell Design Week (CDW), Forbo Flooring Systems will be opening up its EC1 Showroom to visitors wishing to learn more about Marmoleum, one of the greenest floor coverings on the market.
In a time where we are all making a conscious effort to reduce the carbon footprint of the built environment, architects, specifiers and designers are looking for greener and more sustainable building materials. As such, during CDW, Forbo will be showcasing its own brand of linoleum, Marmoleum – one of the most sustainable flooring solutions available on the market.
Visitors to the Forbo showroom, located on St John Street, will have the opportunity to learn all about Marmoleum, from its environmental qualities to how it performs once in-situ and the wide range of contemporary designs available.
In fact, as well as being manufactured from 97% natural raw materials and CO2 neutral (from cradle to gate), Marmoleum offers true design freedom, with over 300 colours and designs to choose from. Phthalate free for improved air quality and Allergy UK approved, Marmoleum also benefits from Forbo’s new Topshield Pro finish, which prevents staining, scuffing and scratching for a longer lasting finish, as well as aiding easy cleaning and maintenance.
Chris Rand, Category Marketing Manager at Forbo, said: “Sustainability is no longer just for a select number of projects. Instead, the whole industry needs to start making better, more environmentally conscious choices. With flooring accounting for a large surface area of a building, choosing greener products here can make a big difference – which is where our Marmoleum collections come into play, a range that we’re really proud of.
“We’re excited to be a part of CDW again, opening our showroom doors to architects and designers looking for interior design inspiration and to see how our Marmoleum collections can help them to create better environments.”
In addition to learning more about Marmoleum, visitors to the showroom can also get hands on with Forbo’s new interactive tools, including its moodboard creator, a virtual reality experience and an impressive sound shower. What’s more, all visitors will receive a voucher to claim a free donut from Crosstown trailer, which will be parked outside the Forbo showroom.
2022 will also see Forbo touring the UK with its mobile Marmoleum Showroom, as part of its Road to Sustainability Tour, providing architects, specifiers and interior designers with further opportunities to learn more about the flooring solution – no matter where they are located in the UK.
