As part of the London Festival of Architecture (LFA) 2021, Fisher & Paykel is partnering with up-and-coming architecture and design practice, Delve, to create a striking window display as part of the LFA Showroom Showcase programme.

The programme offers competition winners the chance to form part of the vibrant return of LFA this June and helps to shine a light on emerging architects and designers. This year, Fisher & Paykel will be harnessing the best in architectural talent and unveiling Delve’s unique, paper art installation, ‘Loop Fruits’ at one of their flagship showroom partners, Halcyon Interiors, Wigmore Street.

The distinctive window installation will demonstrate Delve’s creativity, skill and craftsmanship to the public.

The partnership reflects how Fisher & Paykel endeavours to be the most human-centred appliance brand in the world by offering a platform and supporting up-and-coming architects. Accompanied by Gaggenau, Smeg, EH Smith, VitrA, Poliform, Fisher & Paykel is among six other partners who will encouraging passers-by to stop by and engage with their installations as part of LFA.

Helen Haider, Fisher & Paykel Head of UK Marketing, comments; “Fisher & Paykel’s design heritage is founded on a pioneering spirit and a culture of curiosity, and it is this reason why we are so pleased to be working with Delve on this project.

“The partnership offers us the chance to celebrate the creativity of architecture and design, the reopening of Halcyon Interiors and other central London showrooms during LFA as well as the bustle of people joining together again.”

South London based studio, Delve, creates spaces that encourage joy and connectivity and believes that exploration and investigation leads to the creation of meaningful spaces.

Malina Dabrowska, Delve Architect, shares the thought behind their concept; “We are challenging the way in which paper is used by sewing it together to create three dimensional forms. The installation translates the elegance and simplicity of Fisher & Paykel kitchen appliances by celebrating the abundance that lives within them.

“The attention to detail, technical prowess and layering of food bursting with colour is showcased through hand sewn colourful paper sculptures of food.

“We have worked with Jasper Stevens to help bring our exhibit to life through augmented reality, allowing visitors to interact with it through animated Instagram filters.”

Head to Halcyon Interiors, Wigmore Street throughout June 2021 to experience the installation first-hand and engage with the VR technology which will bring the concept to life.
