P C Henderson has recently partnered up with drop seal manufacturer, Planet, to introduce an acoustic drop seal for sliding doors into its range of products.
The innovative seal solution, designed specifically for sliding doors, offers a range of benefits including soundproofing (up to 44dB), light reduction, prevention against unpleasant smells and draught insulation.
Suitable for wooden and metal doors, the product is ideal for a wide range of applications where door sealing would be of benefit - such as offices, music rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, nurseries and room dividers.

Our new Planet Drop Seal is ideal for this type of application due to its soundproofing properties – as well as numerous other applications around the home and workplace”.
Unlike other sliding door seals, Planet Drop Seal is automatically deployed upon door closure and held firmly in the closed position – eliminating the need for a magnet to hold the door in place. Designed using state of the art technology, the accessory is compatible with soft close sliding door systems due to the minimal force required to activate the seal.
“Our aim is to be able to offer customers the full sliding door hardware solution. As the use of sliding doors continues to evolve, we must adapt our range to meet the market requirements. The Planet Drop Seal is a great example of this”, continued Andrew.
The accessory can be used with a number of P C Henderson’s sliding door systems including the company’s popular Soltaire and Husky Sliding systems. Available in a number of lengths to cater for doors between 675mm and 1675mm wide, the seal is ideal for both single and biparting sliding doors.
