Rapid deployment mobile CCTV towers keep remote sites secure

Rapid deployment mobile CCTV towers are an increasingly popular way to monitor construction sites to keep them safe and secure. They are used on temporary sites of all types, including road building, construction and demolition.

A quick-to-install solution, rapid deployment towers (RDT) offer all-in-one security. Cameras monitor the area and a PA system can be customised with your own message or sound to warn and deter intruders.

The tower’s mast extends up high to provide CCTV cameras full coverage of the entire site. Camera analytics detect any motion or line crossing in case of trespassers.

RDTs are especially useful for sites without mains power. They’re powered by a battery which, when it runs low, can be supplemented with a generator. For a more environmentally friendly and cost effective solution, solar powered options are available.

With a solar-powered backup, you won’t need to return to the site to recharge or swap out batteries. This is particularly useful if the site is in shut down for a period of time, such as the Christmas holidays or during the pandemic, which has forced many sites to close temporarily.

The towers are quick to install with a fork lift-ready design so they can be easily moved around. They’re also durable as they are built to withstand adverse weather conditions.

Benefits

RDTs are a cost effective alternative to expensive manned security solutions. They monitor a site 24/7, offering clients peace of mind when no one is able to be physically present, whether that’s during a period of shutdown or just for the night.

An RDT is ideal for remote sites as the cameras constantly monitor the area, even when no one is there.

Not only does the CCTV tower monitor the area to check for vandals or trespassers, it acts as a highly visible deterrent. In the unlikely event that someone does access the site, the 24/7 monitoring will notify you and the PA system means they will receive an audible warning. If the problem persists, the local police will be alerted to remove them.

The towers are suitable for a wide variety of construction projects as rapid deployment makes them the perfect fit for temporary, semi-permanent or mobile sites

If your site has previously experienced criminal activity or intrusion, rapid deployment CCTV towers are a good security solution to monitor potential risks. They’ve been employed successfully in a wide variety of projects, from scaffolded residential areas to remote hillside locations.

As the towers are free-standing, installation is quick and easy, as is taking them down once work on your site has finished.

SafeSite Facilities Rapid Deployment Mobile CCTV Towers

SafeSite Facilities’ RDTs have a tannoy system that can be connected to your smart device to allow you to speak to your staff on site or warn trespassers.

If you need to monitor your site you can via a time lapse video – images are taken and stored every ten minutes.

Your site is also monitored by an Alarm Receiving Centre. This means the security team is alerted if there is even a slight movement on your site. If any activity is deemed a threat, both you and the local police station will be notified so it can be dealt with quickly and efficiently.

You will be given a personal login to access the cameras. This can be used at any time with any smart device. You can also add passwords and additional users at no extra cost.

Remote monitoring

SafeSite Facilities recently installed its RDT in a remote site in the Brecon Beacons which required a self-sufficient security solution to protect expensive machinery and equipment.

The site was unmanned, so a RDT featuring six solar panels was installed. This meant that if the battery was low, power could still be provided.

Installation was quick, and the tower was up and running within four hours.

The site was monitored with full angled coverage and the client could access the camera at any time if they wished to view their site remotely.

The client was able to relax as their site was under surveillance 24/7. Remote monitoring was also provided by a professional Alarm Receiving Centre.

SafeSite Facilities is constantly redeveloping its mobile CCTV towers with cutting edge technology to ensure they’re the most advanced in the industry. Your assets are valuable and their will protect them when you’re not able to be on site.

Wherever you are in the UK, SafeSite Facilities can dispatch and install its rapid deployment mobile CCTV towers quickly and efficiently to protect your site.
