The issue of hygiene has come into sharp focus for specifiers particularly during the last year. Crown Paints’ Clean Extreme range comprises three water-based paints, each specially formulated to provide a solution for tough everyday challenges including stains, mould, and bacteria.
Regular and rigorous cleaning can wear away the paint finish and leave décor looking tired. However, Clean Extreme Stain Resistant Scrubbable Mattis formulated to be repeatedly scrubbed without any detriment to the appearance by minimising the amount of paint film that is removed each time. This ensures paintwork retains it’s ‘just decorated’ look - no matter how many times it is scrubbed clean. In fact, based upon the ISO 11998 testing method, Clean Extreme Scrubbable Matt achieved a Class 1 rating and has a durability level of 10,000 scrubs - a 400 per cent increase compared to conventional matt emulsions.
For rooms prone to condensation, mould can be an issue: Clean Extreme Mould Inhibiting Scrubbable Matt not only offers a stain resistant finish, the product has a built-in fungicide that prevents mould growth on the paint film and can be repeatedly cleaned without any detriment to the finish.
Where areas need to be kept hygienically clean, such as in healthcare facilities and schools, Clean Extreme Anti-Bacterial Scrubbable Matt features independently tested SteriTouch® silver ion technology which inhibits the growth of any bacteria that comes into contact with the paint surface including MRSA and E.Coli, and prevents bacteria from multiplying. The ‘built-in’ silver ion protection can’t be washed off, no matter how many times the surface is scrubbed.
All the products in the range are also available as a durable and washable Acrylic Eggshell finish and can be tinted to almost any shade so there’s no need to compromise or chose between performance and aesthetics.
