Carpet and Flooring’s partnership with Vision Health and Fitness began in 2017 when the North East gym group wanted to update the main mezzanine flooring of its first premises in Gateshead.
Requiring flooring that was aesthetically on brand but that could also cater to extreme usage, Carpet and Flooring’s CFS Eternity Commercial LVT was specified.
The CFS Eternity Commercial range is high performance flooring which with a 0.55mm wear layer, is designed for the commercial environment and is available in 15 stylish wood effect designs, giving the team at Vision Health and Fitness plenty to choose from. The team chose to install 349m2 in the Forest Oak colour which comes with a 30-year warranty, has a PU surface treatment and a R10 slip rating. The PU surface treatment and R10 slip rating ensures gym users won’t slip and fall, whilst being hard wearing, durable and easy to maintain - ideal for high traffic areas such as a gym.
After being impressed with the look, durability and performance of the Eternity Commercial LVT, when Vision Health and Fitness acquired a second premises in Cramlington, it turned to Carpet and Flooring once again - this time looking for flooring for a spinning room, dance studio, walk-way and reception area.
Knowing that CFS Eternity Commercial LVT would provide the premium quality it needed, Vision Health and Fitness decided to install 291m2 of the Pewter Oak design in the dance studio. The team chose this colour as it complemented the aesthetic of the space whilst providing the same qualities as the previously installed Forest Oak.
Vision Health and Fitness then specified 60m2 of CFS Elements Commercial Vinyl Sheet in Dark Grey in its spinning room. This product was chosen due to its durable nature and the fact it comes backed with a five-year commercial warranty, providing reassurance and peace of mind to the customer.
Finally, CFS Modena carpet tiles were installed in the walkway, reception and cardio areas of the gym, with 400m2 specified in Dark Grey and an additional 400m2 in Light Grey. These subtle yet on-trend colours were exactly what was needed to create a stylish and high-quality welcome to those entering the gym. The tufted loop pile tile is also 100% polypropylene, hard wearing and stain resistant, making the choice ideal for an area susceptible to stains and reducing maintenance costs.

Vision Health and Fitness is aiming to continue its expansion across the North East and beyond.
