Multi Application Safety System (MASS) barriers are frequently installed across roads, pathways and highways offering protection on all sides of the barriers whilst building or roadside work is underway.
The unique curved base design of the barriers, and their steel construction, provide robust 'roll-on, roll-off' stability and safety. This means that in the event of an impact, the barrier will stand firm and the vehicle will stay on its side of the barrier, protecting the driver, pedestrians and those working on the other side of the barriers.
A steel buffer weighted with sandbags provides anchorage so that MASS barriers can be fitted quickly and easily as they do not require any permanent fixing. This ensures minimum disruption to traffic and other road users while they are being installed. it also means the barriers can be repositioned as the roadwork or construction project progresses or to facilitate access to the site.
Further safety features include:
Simple to load and transport, 160m of MASS barriers can be pallet packed on a single, suitably sized vehicle. They can also be easily stacked for storage between projects or phases.
MASS barriers are available to hire or purchase, with nationwide delivery, from SafeSite Facilities.
