Papergraphics, an innovator in digitally printable wallcoverings for the commercial and residential interiors market, is proud to announce that its first continuing professional development (CPD) module has been approved by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID).
Papergraphics’ first CPD module is entitled “Picture This: A Specifier's Guide to Construction Products Regulations for Digitally Printed Wallcoverings” and explains the legal safety requirements for printed wallcoverings. Not only is this an interesting and relevant topic architects and designers might choose to find out more about, RIBA has categorised the CPD into two subject and product areas within its core curriculum. The BIID has also approved the CPD, naming Papergraphics as one of its CPD providers.
The aim of this CPD module is to help specifiers of interior décor solutions to understand:
“We’re focused on promoting awareness and use of the right product for the right project within the architecture and design community,” says John Selby, CEO of Papergraphics, “Our CPD examines the practical and legal requirements architects and designers need to be aware of when it comes to specifying these types of design solutions. It’s really important to us and has been our message for some time now. And to be able to work with two such highly-respected organisations as RIBA and the BIID, to endorse what we’ve been saying all along, is very gratifying.”
Papergraphics is leading by example, and provides a range of highly specified products that not only perform outstandingly in print quality and durability, but also meet the full and correct legal and regulatory requirements for interiors and Construction Products. By educating the end users and specifiers, as well as Print Service Providers (PSPs), Papergraphics hopes to help drive the growing market for digital interiors forward in a responsible way.
The module has been welcomed by the first practices to undertake Papergraphics’ CPD. Many noted that it has also highlighted the vast creative possibilities that digitally printed wallcoverings can offer designers and architects, which seemingly they weren’t previously aware of.
Digitally printed wallcoverings are an endlessly versatile medium for designers to work with; they’re also quick and easy to put in place, and, when installed properly, are simple to maintain and can be updated when required without damage to the wall surface. All these benefits ensure that, as a printed medium, they can bring new energy to an office, breathe fresh life into a hotel or add a splash of brand personality to a retail space.
