IDS makes its debut at the Surfaces and Materials Show to showcase innovative new and existing products from its expansive portfolio. As the UKs largest distributor of decorative surfaces, IDS offers contractors, architects and designers access to over 12,000 products from more than 40 prestigious surface material brands, at a wide variety of price points and available for immediate delivery.
The IDS portfolio embraces the world’s most pioneering materials, which are brought to the UK after researching and investing in the latest surface innovations. On show are a wide selection of wall panelling, worksurfaces, flooring and decorative panel products to demonstrate the wealth of design opportunities available, with a preview of the IDS interactive visualiser tool on hand to illustrate how they can look in real settings. The full product portfolio will be available in the newly updated Solutions Guide, copies of which will be available on the stand.
Making its UK debut is the innovative Forescolor, which combines the design flexibility of wood with the brightness of colour. An evolution of MDF, Forescolor is a wood fibre board that is coloured throughout and can be laser cut and 3D routered with a precision finish.
Also on the stand is CamuStyleTX, the latest collection from global decorative panel specialists Swiss Krono. CamuStyleTX is a unique texture which harnesses the aesthetics of natural limestone and open weave fabric, offering a palette of organic and industrial decors ideal for retail, domestic and commercial applications.
IDS offers wall and ceiling panelling options that span all design tastes and project budgets, including the recently revamped Showerwall laminate and acrylic collections, with the flexibility of bespoke digital printing; PanelStyle, which brings together the popular Splashpanel, Proplas and Proplas Tile PVC wall and ceiling ranges; and ClicWall, the innovative decorative wall panelling solution from Unilin.
The Tuscan worktop range celebrates the beauty and timeless appeal of solid wood with its enhanced choice of pre-finished oak worksurfaces, while Bushboard’s Evolve is an innovative new worksurface range in an ultra-slim 12.5mm thickness with a solid coloured core.
For commercial and residential applications, there are a range of flooring solutions including the Malmo™ Rigid and stick-down luxury vinyl flooring ranges in realistic woodgrain and tile designs; the Faus brand of premium laminate flooring, which includes fashionable herringbone and chevron planks, elegant parquet stone and industrial-style concrete and cement tiles; and Tuscan, with the new Forte multiply collection in six elegant colours offering the character of solid wood while being easy to fit, thanks to the Välinge 5GC installation system.
Hanex® solid surface offers real design flexibility being high performance, low maintenance and repairable for the creation of distinctive countertops, furniture, cash desks, store fixtures, partitions and vanity surfaces and an interactive area on the stand will demonstrate the thermal-healing capabilities of Fenix NTA®, a new ultra-matt, real brushed steel material.
