façade of the luxury, five-star Le Meridien Hotel in Taipei, Taiwan.
Situated in Yilan
county, the beautiful resort offers guests an exclusive experience, boasting
outstanding avant-garde architecture, high-quality rooms and professional
services.
The revolutionary
surface brand plays a significant role in the hotel’s design, with an
impressive 3,800m2 of Dekton used for the external structure.
Aiming to reflect the
nature of the hotel’s surroundings within its design, owners, Trans Globe were
immediately drawn to the striking aesthetic of Dekton Aura with its natural
marble look and delicate veining.
Providing unwavering
consistency, Dekton Aura is unique in that its design can be seamlessly
continued between slabs thanks to its bookmatching functionality. From
its Natural Collection, Dekton Keyla was also chosen for part of the façade to
contrast and complement due to its warm rich and intense hue.
Combining
practicality with elegance, Dekton boasts a high resistance to UV rays, heat
and thermal shock, offering commercial designs such as this hard wearing
longevity.
Manufactured
in large-format slabs (up to 320cm x 144cm) and available in a range of
thicknesses, its low porosity and highly adaptable qualities make it perfect
for use on both indoor and outdoor applications such as façades, wall cladding
and high traffic areas such as flooring and stairs.
